Beth excited for World Championships

Olympic gymnast and Director of Total Gymnastics, Beth Tweddle heads to Montreal next week to cover the 2017 Gymnastics World Championships.
Running from 2nd–8th October, over 500 gymnasts from 80 different countries will compete at the Olympic stadium in the Canadian city.

Discussing the event, Beth said, “The upcoming World Championships in Canada is going to be an exciting one. It’s the first of the new Olympic cycle and therefore some of the big names have taken a rest after the Olympics or they’ve retired so there will be a lot of new faces on the scene.

“Great Britain have had so much success over the past few years and we have a lot of talent coming through the ranks. It’s slightly different this year as there will be no team competition. It’s all about the individual gymnasts and their own performances so I’m really looking forward to seeing what they can achieve.”
