Beth Tweddle on World Championships double mission

BETH Tweddle is getting ready to lead Great Britain’s charge in the last World Championships of her glittering career.

The 26-year-old former Chester Queen’s School pupil from Bunbury, who is expected to retire after next year’s London Olympic Games, will be on a double mission once the Toyko event gets under way tomorrow.

Three-time world champion Tweddle is not only out to retain the uneven bars titles she won in Rotterdam last year, she will also attempt to inspire the British women’s team to the top-eight finish needed to allow them to take a maximum number of gymnasts for London 2012.
