British Team 5th at World Championships!
BRITISH WOMENS TEAM PLACE 5TH AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TOKYO!
The British Women’s team who qualified in 8th on Saturday for the team final yesterday put in a fantastic performance to place 5th, their best result to date.
Beth pulled out an amazing bar set scoring the highest bar score of the day 15.666 to help Great Britain to their 5th place finish. The USA won the team title with Russia and China completing the podium.
"We've been training so hard and thequalificationwas really tense for us," Tweddle said. "To come out and do 12 routines with no mistakes is all we can ask for. We were only three marks behind Romania and with an upgrade on vault - where we've had an unlucky year with a couple of injuries - that'll pull our scores up for next year."
