British Team Qualify for London 2012!
BRITISH WOMENS TEAM QUALIFY A FULL TEAM FOR LONDON 2012!
The British Women’s team comprising of Liverpool gymnasts Beth Tweddle, Hannah Whelan and Jenny Pinches, Academy gymnast Imogen Cairns, Notts gymnast Becky Downie and Heathrow gymnast Danusia Francis gave it their all in the qualifying round of the World Championships in Tokyo on Saturday to place 8th, qualifying a full team for London 2012!
Beth missed out on bar final due to an early mistake on her first skill, toe on full, but put in a fantastic performance on floor to qualify for the final taking place on Saturday. Hannah Whelan put in a superb all around performance, qualifying in the top 24 for the all around final on Thursday.
The gymnasts will compete again on Tuesday in team final against USA, China, Russia, Romania, Japan, Australia and Germany on Tuesday morning. TV times are listed below.
