National School Sports Week

National School Sports Week (NSSW) is a UK-wide celebration that encourages schools to take part in physical education – and with that being a big part of why we do what we do, we had to get involved ourselves!

We have a huge number of schools already taught by Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) each week, playing a big part in our mission to give every child the opportunity to get involved in gymnastics. For helping us towards achieving our goal, it's great to be able to show our appreciation.

Northcote Primary School were the 100th school to work with us so, to say thank you, we ran a full day of taster lessons for all children at the school to show them just why gymnastics is a great sport to be involved in, especially at such a young age.

On top of that, all classes received a signed t-shirt from Olympic Gymnast Beth Tweddle and a signed poster for the school.

It’s a huge milestone for all of us at Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) to hit 100 schools, and it was our way of saying thank you for helping us make our goal a reality.

Talking about NSSW, Beth said: “My passion is to get every child to do gymnastics and the best time to do that is within curriculum time at school. Our school programme at Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) has been really successful and it is amazing to see that we have worked with over 100 schools. I just wanted to congratulate Northcote Primary School on becoming our 100th school, and I hope the children enjoy their gymnastics lessons during National School Sports Week.”

At Total Gymnastics, we encourage children to keep active and broaden their skillset. All children deserve the opportunity to go beyond their own expectations and improve their confidence so we run classes in venues all over the North West (UK) that your child can get involved in.
