In just a few short months, over 10,000 athletes will compete in France’s capital city at the world’s biggest celebration of sport. It's going to be an amazing couple of weeks filled with incredible athletes, thrilling competitions, and lots of fun!

Read on to find out about the exciting events the world’s top gymnasts will be competing in this year…

Artistic Gymnastics

Artistic gymnastics is all about strength, agility, and precision. With individual and team competitions across various apparatus, this discipline demands unparalleled skill and dedication.

Fun fact: This was the event Beth Tweddle competed in! Beth represented Team GB (Great Britain) in artistic gymnastics at the Athens Olympics in 2004, the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and even won a medal for the uneven bars at the London 2012 Olympics!

Watch the moment Beth won Bronze at London 2012:

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only discipline that blends dance with artistic gymnastic elements. With the use of ribbons, hoops, balls, and clubs, gymnasts perform graceful routines to music. This sport is all about showcasing grace, coordination, agility and artistry.

You can catch the rhythmic gymnastics action from the 8th to the 10th of August.

Here's what's happening:

- Individual All-Around (women)
- Group Event (women)

Trampoline

This is a men's and women's individual event where gymnasts jump over 8m high (that’s about the length of a bus!) on a trampoline performing a sequence of bounces, twists and somersaults. In this extremely technical sport, athletes are scored by things like the difficulty of their skills and the amount of time spent in the air.

Trampoline is a fairly new event and was only introduced as an Olympic sport in the year 2000 at the Sydney Games in Australia.

If you want to watch the fun, the trampoline events will both take place on the 2nd of August.
