Gold Sweep for England at the Commonwealth Games!


 

It’s been a success for England in the gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games, with gold medal win after gold medal win!

The gymnastics team have an impressive haul of medals, with Nile Wilson winning an amazing 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals alone.

Nile won gold in the men’s individual all around, men’s horizontal bar and in the men’s team final. Nile also swooped the silver for England in the men’s parallel bars and men’s rings final.

Courtney Tulloch brought home the gold medal in the men’s rings final, topping the leader board with 14.833 – Courtney also won silver in the men’s vault.

17-year-old Georgia Mae-Fenton won gold for the women’s uneven bars final with a top score of 14.600. The women’s winning streak was kept up by Alice Kinsella, who won gold for England in the bean final.

The all-star women’s team including Georgia-Mae Fenton, Lucy Stanhope, Alice Kinsella, Kelly Simm and Taeja James won silver for the women’s team final, along with James Hall winning silver in the men’s individual all around and Max Whitlock winning silver for the men’s pommel horse final.
