Beth is Dancing on Ice Champion!

Beth Tweddle wins Dancing on Ice 2013!

It was a very exciting night for the Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) camp last night as our very own Beth Tweddle stormed to victory on Dancing on Ice 2013. Beth saw off stiff competition from Luke Campbell and his partner Jenna Smith and Matt Lapinskas and his partner Brianne Delcourt to receive the highest number of public votes, despite Matt and Brianne scoring a perfect 80 from two routines from the judges.

Beth performed a showcase skate to begin with to Carwash by Rose Royce. It was full of shammys, cars, balloons and a wet sponge over Dan at the end! Beth showed amazing personality and performance to score 36.5. She then went on to perform their series favourite routine to Clown by Emilie Sande to receive a score of  37.5 from the judges, putting her second on the leader board. 

Luke left the competition in third place, leaving Beth and Matt to skate their own versions of the legendary skate by Torvill and Dean, Bolero. 

After a long (and very stressful night in the studio we might add!) it was down to a very long pause before Phillip Schofield eventually announced that Beth and Dan were the winners of Dancing on Ice 2013 taking home the trophy.

To all our parents, gymnasts and partners who voted for Beth to win, we cannot thank you enough on her behalf. She is the ultimate proof that anything is possible if you work hard enough!
