Dancing on Ice week 3 had a little bit of a twist with the skaters being paired off and having to "duel" in order to win immunity from the public vote. It has been a rough week for our own Beth, as she was rushed into hospital on Friday evening with severe gastroenteritis. It was touch and go whether she would skate in the show last night having only been on the ice for 2 hours last week due to her illness! Being the typical strong sportswoman she is, she wouldn't let it defeat her and competed against Oona King in an epic skating duel to win immunity from the judges. Despite his comments in week one about being "bored" by Beth's performance, this week he was full of praise saying she was "much stronger" than in her previous week. Karen said "Well done for being here - that was amazing!"

Beth was back in bed whilst the skate off was happening in order to recover in time for next weeks "School Disco" themed skate. Oona and Gareth ended up in the dramatic skate off, which involved Oona's partner Mark tripping over and dislocating his shoulder on the ice! The physiotherapist managed to put his shoulder back into place and he bravely performed the "Save me" skate with Oona. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to impress the judges who saved Gareth, leaving Oona to follow Pamela Anderson and Lauren Goodger out of the competition.
