NEW Pre-School Classes at Hornchurch Leisure Centre!


Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) are excited to launch their NEW pre-school gymnastics classes at Hornchurch Leisure Centre using our Beth Tweddle Gym Stars programme!

We have been working with Hornchurch Leisure Centre for just under 4 years now and we have over 120 gymnasts aged 4+ attending classes with us every week and the programme has been incredibly successful. For us it is great to now be able to offer a full spectrum of gymnastics to ages 2 - 12.

CLASS DETAILS

  • Age 2 - 4 1/2 (pre-school)
  • Classes are parent and child and require active parental involvement
  • 3 classes: 10am - 11am, 11am - 12pm and 1pm - 2pm
  • Classes run using our Little Stars programme where children can work through a structured programme, achieve stickers, badges and certificates and have fun and make some new friends
  • Classes are being led by a very experienced Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) and Level 3 Gymnastics coach, Steph Thomas.

HOW TO BOOK

  • Booking opens from the 6th March 2014 with limited spaces available (20 per class). 
  • All bookings are taken at Hornchurch Leisure Centre, or over the phone on 01708 454 135.
  • First course is a 7 week course beginning Monday 17th March - 12th May 2014 with no sessions running on the 21st April and 5th May due to the bank holidays
  • All customers are required to become members of Gym Stars for which customers receive a t-shirt, drinks bottle, kit bag and progress sticker booklet

These new classes will complete our development programme within Hornchurch Leisure Centre. Gymnasts aged 2 - 4 1/2 will begin in our Little Stars classes, progressing into 1 hour classes after school using the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards, and finally into our 1.5 hours class using the Advanced Proficiency Awards. All gymnasts are initially placed on age, but as the programmes go on the coaches will move them around according to their ability. Gymnasts in the 1.5 hour classes will, for the first time this year have the opportunity to compete with other local clubs, and we will hold our annual in-house Beth Tweddle Gymnastics (formerly Total Gymnastics) Championships for those aged 4 1/2 + and who attend our after school programmes!
